Speech & Language Therapy
We help children communicate, connect, and thrive. Whether your child is learning first words, building language skills, improving speech clarity, strengthening social communication, or overcoming communication challenges, our goal is to make therapy engaging, motivating, and fun. (Spoiler: Our superpower is making working toward goals feel like play—because children learn best when they're having fun!)
We help with: speech sound disorders, language delays, social communication, fluency, AAC (augmentative and alternative communication), and communication challenges related to autism, Down syndrome, and other developmental delays.

Early Intervention
The earliest years are full of growth, and a little support can go a long way. We work with babies and toddlers showing differences in communication, feeding, play, gestures, imitation, or developmental milestones.Research consistently shows that children benefit most when support starts early. The earlier we can identify challenges and provide specialized intervention, the greater the opportunity for growth, skill development, confidence, and long-term success. If you have a concern, trust your gut—we're here to help.
We help with: early communication and language, feeding, play and social skills, gestures and imitation, and developmental milestones.

Feeding Therapy
Mealtimes can come with a lot of guilt, worry, and stress, and we want to take that weight off your shoulders. We support picky eating, limited food variety, sensory feeding challenges, oral motor concerns, texture transitions, and the mealtime struggles that wear families down. You don't have to figure this out alone.
We help with: picky eating, food aversions, sensory feeding challenges, oral motor skills, bottle and breastfeeding transitions, introducing solids, texture transitions, feeding tube weaning, chewing and swallowing skills, and reducing mealtime stress for the whole family.

Adult Speech, Language, Cognitive & Swallowing Therapy
Progress isn't just for kids. Our therapists bring experience from hospitals, rehabilitation settings, outpatient clinics, and private practice, allowing us to provide specialized support for adults recovering from stroke, neurological conditions, head and neck cancer, cognitive changes, and speech, language, voice, or swallowing challenges. Our approach is hopeful, compassionate, and empowering—for both the individual and the people who love and support them. You don't have to navigate this alone.
We help with: stroke recovery, dementia, Parkinson's disease and other neurological conditions, head and neck cancer recovery, communication and cognitive changes, voice and swallowing challenges, and providing caregivers with the tools, education, and support they need to confidently support their loved one.

AAC (Alternative & Augmentative Communication)
Communication comes in many forms, and we're here to support all of them. We help children and adults who benefit from visual supports, communication devices, speech-generating technology, and other forms of AAC. Whether someone is just beginning their communication journey or needs a more robust system, we can help identify the right tools, provide AAC evaluations, assist with funding and device recommendations, and support successful implementation across home, school, work, and community settings.
We help with: AAC evaluations, communication device recommendations, funding support, speech-generating devices, visual communication systems, language development, caregiver and team training, and successful AAC implementation across environments.

School-Based Services & Partnerships
We're proud to partner with schools and educational programs across California, serving students from preschool through 12th grade, as well as transition programs and adult day programs. As an NPA-certified provider through the CDE, we bring speech and occupational therapy services directly into school communities, with a focus on collaboration, accessibility, and supporting students, educators, and families every step of the way.
We help with: speech and occupational therapy contracting, IEP support, NPA services, transition-age programming, adult day program support, and collaborative care for students across educational settings.

Teletherapy
Therapy that fits real life. Let's be honest—sometimes getting everyone out the door, buckled into the car, and across town can feel like a bigger challenge than the therapy session itself! With teletherapy, you can receive high-quality support from the comfort of your own home, office, or wherever life takes you.
And if you're thinking, "There's no way my child will sit for virtual therapy," you'd probably be surprised! Many children are highly engaged by the interactive games, activities, and digital tools we use during sessions.
We help with: flexible remote sessions, speech and language therapy, parent coaching, direct instruction, caregiver support, and convenient access to care that fits your family's schedule.

Caregiver Coaching & Parent Support
Progress doesn't stop when a session ends, and neither do we. We give families practical strategies, home carryover ideas, and confidence to support communication, feeding, and development in everyday life. When the people around someone feel equipped, progress happens faster and sticks longer.
We help with: practical home strategies, carryover ideas, caregiver confidence, and support between sessions.
What Therapy Actually Looks Like
We take progress seriously and we take fun seriously too. People learn best when they feel comfortable, connected, and supported, so our sessions are warm, encouraging, and individualized to each person's age, interests, and goals.
For younger children, sessions are often play-based because that's how little ones learn best. While your child thinks they're building, racing, pretending, creating, and having a blast, we're carefully targeting speech, language, feeding, and developmental goals every step of the way. It's kind of our superpower.
For teens and adults, sessions tend to be more structured and goal-focused, while still staying approachable and yes, fun! Whether we're working on communication, cognition, swallowing, independence, vocational skills, or recovery after a medical event, our goal is to make therapy feel encouraging rather than overwhelming. We love bringing humor, real-life activities, and meaningful conversations into sessions because growth happens best when people feel comfortable, confident, and supported along the way. Across every age, we weave in caregiver coaching and real-life carryover so progress follows you home. And we always make time to celebrate the wins, big and small.
Session lengths:
-
Speech and Language Therapy: 30 minutes
-
Feeding Therapy and Adult Sessions: 40 minutes

"But what about insurance?"
We hear this a lot, and we want to ease your mind. We're currently in-network with Medicare and certified non-network providers with TRICARE, and we're actively credentialing with Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Cross Blue Shield of California.

People love it here.
We're proud of our 50+ five-star Google reviews. Here's what families have to say.
"Woods Family Speech therapy has been such a blessing for my family! They helped my two year old son to develop his speech skills so amazingly he went from five to six words to four and five word phrases in one year. The team is so accommodating and they make homework for the family very attainable and great for the entire family to get involved. Our therapist was so professional and kind as well as amazing with my son and really paid attention to his specific needs and strengths, her attentiveness helped him progress quickly. I am so happy that he has graduated and is now speaking at age level but I will miss the team at Woods Family Speech Therapy and their support for my entire family. Amazing all the way around!!!!!"
